Little Moments > Big Moments

Little Moments > Big Moments

Little Moments > Big Moments

Some days I feel like I should have done something greater by now. Everybody likes to say, “you’re only 20 something…you’re young…you have time.” In theory, that’s true.

Just because someone may not have accomplished all they dreamed by age 25, that doesn’t mean they’re a failure (as Relevant pointed out so well here).

But there’s a fine line between not putting too much pressure on yourself and becoming complacent. That’s what I struggle with. I think that’s what most people struggle with. How do you balance the two?

How do you strive for greatness but not overdo it?

How do you remain patient without becoming stagnant?

I don’t really know the answer, but one thing I’m learning more and more is this: Sometimes the little moment before “THE moment” is the real moment.

Great accomplishments are never made up of one big moment. If yours are, you’re not dreaming big enough. Great accomplishments are made up of little moments.

The time you took watching and learning from others.

The days and nights you spent preparing.

So that when “THE moment” finally came…You’d be ready.

Don’t get discouraged with where you are, but don’t become complacent either. Be thankful that you’ve made it this far, and continue to prepare for greater things. Focus on the little moments. Those are the ones that count.
