Build on What Remains

Have you ever been in a situation where there seemed to be no hope? Now, I’m not necessarily talking about some dramatic, life-altering situation. It could be small. No doubt, we’ve all used or heard the term before, “There’s no hope” or “He doesn’t stand a chance” or “That’s a lost cause.”

The truth is, throughout our lives, no matter how spiritual or non spiritual you are, we’ve all faced different trials and tests that made us feel as if a situation in our life was hopeless. Read more →

Forget Tomorrow

I tweeted something the other day along the lines of:

As a kid, I used to wish time away. Now, I wish I had more. Time to write. Time to blog. Time to design. Time to brainstorm. Just more.

Often times, I post a tweet before fully thinking it through. This was no different. Read more →

Not Enough

Over the past few, since about December of last year, I’ve been reevaluating my life in regards to where I’m at and where I believe God has promised he is taking my wife and I. And to be real and honest, I’ve had a lot of questions for God. There are things that I thought by the age of 22 I would’ve, with the help of God, already accomplished by now. That all changed one day a few years ago when someone closest to me almost stepped into eternity. Read more →

Bigger Than Just Me

So, I get married in 310 days. By Thanksgiving, there will be less than 290 days until Kristin and I tie the knot. It’s just so crazy to think about. I can still remember being a kid, where the way I flirted with girls was by picking on/making fun of them. Yes, I was extremely mature. Ha, right. Ever since the engagement, not a day has gone by that I didn’t think about and ponder what I needed to do in order to ensure that I’m the best that I can be for my future bride. Read more →

Being a Servant Leader

Matthew 20:26 specifically states that if anyone desires to become great, they should begin by being a servant first. While this is often hard to keep in mind, it is the root of all great biblical leaders. Joseph had to start out at Potipher’s house, David had to start out taking care of sheep, etc.

Matthew 20:16 makes it even more clear with Jesus’ parable that the “last shall be first, and the first shall be last.Read more →
